Water is a critical resource. Our environmental approach includes reducing water consumption in production and product use, and managing wastewater responsibly in line with regulatory requirements.

Water management
Our water management approach focuses on continuously reducing our own water consumption - for example in production cooling processes, in the operation of kitchens and sanitary facilities, and in the irrigation of green spaces. In all reduction measures, we ensure that drinking water hygiene is always maintained.
Water stress
We actively address the issues of water scarcity and water stress to ensure long-term security of supply. To do this, we analyze potential risks at our sites and in the regions where we operate. At present, we do not manufacture in areas affected by high water stress - that is, locations where water demand exceeds availability or where water quality significantly limits its use. Nevertheless, we closely monitor developments and plan to report more extensively on related challenges and mitigation measures in the future. Thanks to stringent controls and investments in efficient technologies, our risk profile regarding water scarcity remains low.
