Procurement logistics


Miele has set up a new web-based logistics platform (MieLog) to manage inbound logistics as part of the brand’s digitalization initiatives.

It is meant to improve transparency regarding the status of shipments for all parties involved, including suppliers, shipping agents as well as Miele plants, right down to the material number.

MieLog processes

Suppliers

  • Create freight declarations from the order and delivery plan overview
  • Update the delivery note number and, where necessary, confirm the shipment of material (notification of delivery)
  • View the shipments in transit as the recipient
  • Confirm receipt of empties

  • Produce roll cards (incl. billing details)
  • Update and correct the shipping costs incurred
  • Automatic billing of shipments using the credit-note procedure
